Stewardship Corner
In the year 303AD, the Roman emperor, Galerius Valerius Maximianus, issued the first official decree that made Christians enemies of the state. It wasn't the first time Christians have been persecuted, and the history of persecution continues even to this day. For most of us, persecution isn't a problem; complacency is. It is possible - in fact, probable - that at some point in our Christian experience, we'll slip into a rut and do things according to habit instead of a conscious decision. Our struggle is to stay pliant and sensitive to the lordship of Jesus Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit. This is accomplished by faithfully listening to God's voice throughout the week, and specially as we return God's Tithe and our combined Budget to the Lord each Sabbath
Health Ministries Spotlight
The body thrives on regularity with eating and sleeping patterns. Regularity in these health habits informs the body of what to expect and when, this stimulating a more relaxed system. Rest is one of the natural remedies designed to renew strength and boost the body's immune system. Obtaining balance in work, leisure, and sleep is a vital health goal. It is recommended that our bodies need 6 to 8 hours of sleep each night. If you haven't already done so, start tonight with a set time to retired and see what a difference it makes in your life! "...Sleep on now, and take your rest" (Mark 14:41).
